Private, south facing, walking distance
A gem of a villa situated in an enviable semi-rural environment of fincas and luxury villas a short walk from the traditional village of Parcent in the heart of the beautiful Jalon Valley. The villa has four double bedrooms, three bath or shower rooms, a private swimming pool and stunning views across the village and the Carascal Mountains.
It is approached via a country lane and the villa’s double fronted drive with room for parking several cars. On one side of the villa is the swimming pool on the bottom of three terraces that border lemon and orange groves. The middle terrace is the sun terrace and on the top terrace is the summer room which has power and light. This room currently houses a three piece suite of patio furniture and is suitable for a summer kitchen to be added. It opens to a bamboo-roofed pergola with room for a large table for al-fresco dining.
On the other side of the villa are garden terraces accessed by French doors from the dining room. The grounds are stocked with several orange and almond trees, a false pepper tree, two bay trees, bougainvillaea and Mediterranean shrubs. There is a built barbecue and a pergola housing a stone circular dining table and benches. All the terraces have spectacular views across to the village.
The villa is entered via the enclosed naya, a lovely spot to breakfast or just to sit and take in the views. The large open-plan sitting and dining room has a wood burning stove and air conditioning. Off the dining area is the well equipped kitchen which has built-in units. A corridor leads to two of the double bedrooms - one with en-suite facilities – and the other next to a shower room/toilet. French doors in the dining room open to the villa’s garden terraces. An internal staircase leads down to two more double bedrooms, one of which has an external door to the pool. The lower floor also has a large family bathroom and a handy storeroom.
Casa de Marquis is an easy drive to Costa Blanca’s beaches and a 10 minute walk to Parcent. The village has a grocery shop with butchery counter, two bakeries, a chemist, two bodegas selling wines from the surrounding vineyards and several bars and restaurants including one renowned for its traditional paella. The larger towns of Jalon and Orba are both about a 10 minute drive away.
The villa would make a lovely family home or a stylish investment property. The current owners have used it as a holiday home since purchasing it 12 years ago, letting it to holiday makers in July and August, and it was always fully booked.
