Luxury villa located within a much sought after area on the outskirts of Orba. Situated inland on the Costa Blanca this villa in Orba with its own private pool is about 20 min from the beaches in a quiet residential area surrounded by almond, lemon, orange and olive trees. The sun rises over the mountain behind the villa, hangs above the private pool all day before setting behind the mountain view thus giving the name Orba Sunset.

The accommodation includes, lounge/dining room, fitted and well equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, two ensuite, further family shower room.

Outside there are plenty of terraces with seats and sun loungers, parking and 10m x 5m pool.

Coast / Beach

The Costa Blanca is renowned for its white sandy blue flag beaches and several can be reached from the villa within 15 - 45 minutes drive. Calpe 15 mins. Denia 20 mins. Moraira 20 mins. Javea 30 mins. Altea 35 mins. Benidorm 45 mins.

Golf

There are a number of golf courses within a 20 - 40 minute drive from the Jalon Valley. These include 2 Championship courses in Benidorm (30mins) designed by Jack Nicklaus, Oliva Nova Golf(40mins) designed by Seve Ballesteros, La Sella (20mins) designed by José María Olazábal, together with 9 hole course at Benissa (20mins) and Altea (25 mins). Both Alicante and Valencia, with their numerous courses, are only one hour´s drive away.

Travel

Nearest airports are Alicante (75km) and Valencia (80km). While this property is within walking distance to the town of Jalon and all its amenities, we would recommend car hire or use of a car.

Distances

Charming Orba is a bustling and thriving individual village somewhat unique in as much as it has virtually every amenity and facility required by the visitor. The village is no more than an easy fifteen minute walk from the villa. It has many shops, banks, hairdressers, a medical centre, tapas bars and several restaurants where it is still regarded as normal to eat a three-course meal with wine for under 12.00 Euros. As with all Spanish villages the cultural heart lies in the Town Square, that is dominated by a beautiful church. Orba has its own individual brand of characters that simply entices the atmosphere and some of which you will surely get to know during your stay

The other villages of the Jalon Valley, Parcent, Lliber and Alcalali can all be easily reached within 10 mins drive. They all have interesting characteristics and plenty of restaurants, shops, cafes and bars. Children are welcome in all of the restaurants and bars.

Other places of interest in the area are A 5* paragliding school in Parcent village and paragliding from the mountain (Coll de Rates), only a 10 minute drive from the finca. There is also the Donkey sanctuary in the mountains toward Bernia where one can offer support for the project by indulging in an incredible lunchtime feast with amazing views where all profits go towards the well being of the donkeys. There is also the famous mountain spring and walks on the Serra Bernia, only a 10 minute drive away. Around 50 minutes drive away are the famous theme parks of Benidorm, including Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, and Aqualandia Water Park & Wild Life Park. Historic Guadalest and the famous water pools and waterfalls are just 30 mins drive away. The area around the property is particularly good for walkers/hikers, cycling, bird watching and sight seeing.

Further Details

The traditional Spanish village of Orba lies at the base of the Vall de Laguart, which adjoins the picturesque Jalon Valley. Outside Orba to the west the Vall de Laguart rises high into the mountains and is the gateway to some wonderful walks for the casual walker through to the serious hiker. The hamlets of Campbell, Fleix and Benimaurell are rural Spain in its extreme and are precariously perched on rocky outcrops. The area was the last bastion of the Moors in Valencia before they were evicted from the region and the visitor is able to see how easy the Moors were able to hide in the vast wilderness and
underground caves. The drive to the highest village offers spectacular scenery virtually unequalled in this part of Spain with cherry and almond trees as far as the eyes can see.
The southern road from Orba climbs to the village of Parcent and onto Tarbena. Not only is the latter a beautiful and idyllic village with narrow washed walled streets but the journey is quite breathtaking as the vast Jalon Valley is sprawled below winding from the mountain range down to the sea. The pinpricks of villages and hamlets can be spotted and named but only with some difficulty. The whole area is awash with the perfume and stunning colours of
the Almond blossom usually in February of each year

Booking Notes

Prices shown are for rental of the property per week in euros. On booking, a 30% deposit is required with the balance due eight weeks before the start of your holiday.
A security fee of 300 euros is also payable when you pay your final balance. It will be refunded to you at the end of the holiday rental period by bank transfer. This security fee is to cover any damage to the property or its contents/fixtures and fittings or execessive cleaning after your departure. We will always discuss any deductions with you before returning the security deposit.
